Salvador Dali Hermitage

The exhibition: Salvador Dali and Surrealism of Catalonia

Earlier it was reported that in early December at the Hermitage, famous paintings will expose the genius of surrealism of Salvador Dali and the most important surrealist painters of Catalonia. However, it was not disclosed the reasons the exhibition moved. Works of art by Salvador Dali and other famous surrealists will still be put on display in the Hermitage but only on March 21st, 2014. So don’t miss the opportunity to come out and see these great works of art in person!

The Hermitage will feature famous paintings from the surrealist genius Salvador Dali, as well as the most important surrealist painters from Catalonia. The exposition will include paintings from the collections of the Dali Museum in Figueres, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Museum of Catalan Art.

Museums whose collections have made this exposition, are extremely popular in Spain, and have an interest in surrealism. It is known that after a quarrel with the flow in Spain, Dali said: "Surrealism - it's me." It was his job to make the exhibition the main focus of the curators in St. Petersburg.
