The restaurant is located in the historic center of St. Petersburg near St. Isaac's Square and the Yusupov Palace. The "Idiot" restaurant is situated in a basement with low ceilings, somber striped wallpaper, and lighted in red light shades. The interior also features retro chairs and round dining tables along with worn out sofas. There are flowerpots near the windows, and all the parts of the interior are all reminiscent of an old St. Petersburg apartment. |

On the Italian street, opposite of the Komissarzhevskaya Theater, is a nice, small traditional Italian café called "Little Italy." The café opened in March and is proving to be a hit already in St. Petersburg. The owner, Mirko Dzanini, worked for 13 years in the hotel industry, and decided to develop his own restaurant business in St. Petersburg. In May, he will open another Italian restaurant, Romeo, near St. Nicholas Cathedral. In Little Italy, you can eat Mediterranean home cooking and also master the basic level of Italian and learn how to cook a pizza! In the mornings, Little Italy has language groups and cooking classes. |
