Located at Universitetskaya Embankment 17, the Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum (Russian: Научно-исследовательский музей Российской Академии художеств) hosts one of the most unique art collections not only in Russia, but throughout the whole world. The academy has a long history as it was founded in the mid 18th century and has been fully functional ever since. The academy hosts some of the greatest drawings, engravings and paintings from artists from Russia and Western Europe. |

The Singer House, or more well known as Dom Knigi, can be found on the corner of Canal Griboyedova and Nevsky Prospect. The building is very well known in St. Petersburg and is located across from Kazan Cathedral and next to Nevsky Propsect metro station. The building is an official historical landmark and a great bookshop. |

The shopping center, Gostiny Dvor, is located right in the middle of Nevsky Prospect. The shopping center is perhaps one of the oldest in Europe and easily the oldest center in St. Petersburg. While one can find the center on Nevsky Prospect, it is also possible to access it from Sadovaya Street. There are more than 100 shops in the complex and it is perhaps the most well known metro station and shopping center in St. Petersburg. |

The beautiful Summer Garden is located in the heart of St. Petersburg and has a long history. It was planned by Peter the Great in 1704 and was constantly improved and worked on until 1726. The park hosts some of the oldest fountains in Russia and the great iron-cast railing one will see when walking around in the park was finally installed in 1784. The great Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin was a huge admirer of the park. The Summer garden is perhaps the most beautiful and peaceful garden to go to in all of Russia. It’s history and location proves great for anyone to go and take a walk. |
