The beautiful Summer Garden is located in the heart of St. Petersburg and has a long history. It was planned by Peter the Great in 1704 and was constantly improved and worked on until 1726. The park hosts some of the oldest fountains in Russia and the great iron-cast railing one will see when walking around in the park was finally installed in 1784. The great Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin was a huge admirer of the park. The Summer garden is perhaps the most beautiful and peaceful garden to go to in all of Russia. It’s history and location proves great for anyone to go and take a walk.
