Book Crossing Trees in St. Petersburg

On World Book Day in Saint-Petersburg, there will be a launch of a large-scale campaign "Book Crossing St. Petersburg". More than 50 city cafes, restaurants, libraries, clubs and theaters will give a special shelf for the book exchange. St. Petersburg residents will find interesting editions and share good books amongst each other.

The event starts on April 23. On this day, the world traditionally celebrates the Day of Book and Copyright. Although it is worth noting that the very action is timed to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov.

In the framework of the "St. Petersburg Book Crossing" in many places of the city, among which are restaurants, clubs, shops, bars, libraries, theaters, as well as educational institutions, establish special rack trees by Timothy Zhuravlev studio.

In these book crossing trees, you can find the works of Lermontov, as well as a variety of other literature. Anyone who wants to take a book can do it, but be sure to leave a different book in its place.
