100,000 colored roses adorn the streets of St. Petersburg

Parks, squares and streets of the northern capital this spring will be decorated with one hundred thousand special roses. 

1.6 million tulips, and more than half a million colorful flowers will also decorate St. Petersburg.

In 2014 in St. Petersburg, there will be planted at least 22,000 trees, about 250,000 shrubs to make the city a bit greener. Thus, the spring city of St. Petersburg will have a lot of colorful flowers and green leaves.

According to the city administration, very soon the spring work on the improvement of parks and gardens will begin. The fallen leaves will be removed, lawns will be cleared, and benches will be repaired, and, where appropriated, will have new benches installed. Spring is soon!
