On Vasilievsky Island want to create an area like that of Montmartre and Soho

The tourist board is working to create on Vasilievsky Island a tourist area similar to Montmartre and London's Soho. 

"On Vasilevsky Island focused galleries and museums of contemporary art. This trend is growing organically, but I would like it a little push"- said committee chairman Inna Shalyto.

The plan is to create more pedestrian areas. Among the potential recreational places, Cadet line and the adjacent streets are in the plans. Other specific places the committee will name later. It is known that on the spit of Vasilievsky Island vehicular traffic will continue.
