Dachshund parade

Dachshund Parade

On Vasilievsky Island will be held a very unusual parade, which will include the protagonists of dachshunds dressed in carnival costumes. On stage will be visible an astronaut, a sheriff, a Polish nobleman, witch, princess and even Sherlock Holmes.

Specifically for the unique fashion show at 6 - 7th Line of Vasilevsky Island, the city will build a small stage, which in the event will have about 300 dogs accompanied by owners. The dogs will demonstrate their lovely carnival costumes and, of course, will surprise the audience with their ability to behave in society. In addition, at the end of the parade the owner of the most original costume awaits a surprise!

The parade is dedicated to Baroness Elizabeth Pec, which once saved Leningrad dogs from starvation during the siege.

After a celebratory parade guests of the event can enjoy entertainment such as: dancing, performance of freestyle groups, workshops on painting wooden souvenirs and much more.

Incidentally, in the framework of the parade in St. Petersburg will try to set a new record by preparing a giant size hot dog.

It should be noted that the parade will happen for the third consecutive year and is already a favorite with many residents of St Petersburg. For example, last year the parade dedicated to Baroness Elizabeth Pec, was attended by over 3000 residents.
