St Petersburg International Festival in the Open Air "All Together Opera"In July in St. Petersburg will be the third international festival "All Together Opera." This event will be free to the townspeople to see the grand opera productions.Traditionally, the natural backdrop for masterpieces of world opera classics will be the most beautiful architectural ensemble of St. Petersburg. This year the festival will comprise the space of the Cathedral Square of Peter and Paul Fortress, Alexander Park at Gorkovskaya and the expanses of green zones of Elagin Island.The first festival "All Together Opera" took place in 2012 and immediately attracted the attention of the townspeople, having pleased the audience with flawless performances of masterpieces of Russian opera classics. In the past year, the festival once again visited the city on the Neva River, and of course, each open-air performance was accompanied by a full house. Thus, the "All Together Opera" became one of the major summer events in St. Petersburg in which the citizens and visitors of the city do not miss. This year's festival will delight spectators with three outstanding opera productions. Among them are "The Golden Cockerel" (Russian: "Золотой Петушок") - the last opera by Rimsky-Korsakov, based on the eponymous fairy tale by Alexander Pushkin; Beethoven's only opera - "Fidelio", as well as an outstanding opera by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Queen of Spades", which is based on same product of the great Russian poet.
