St. Petersburg will see the cruiser "Aurora" travelling down the NevaFor the first time in many years, St. Petersburg will be able to look at the "Aurora" in all its glory, not "hanging out" on the chains at the dock, but majestically plowing through the water surface of the Neva. This event will happen on September 21st.At 10 am on Sept. 21 the "Aurora", which in the late 50's was made a ship-museum and for many years was docked at the embankment, will have its chance to sail down the Neva River once again. The legendary cruiser is going for repairs for 1 year. By the way, the bridges along the Neva will be open during the morning, which will be a nice sight for spectators of this rare event. Also, the myth that the "Aurora" stands on a concrete base will be smashed. |
