Tulip Festival at Elagin Island

The Tulip Festival is considered one of the most prominent spring events in St. Petersburg. This year's event is sure to be no less interesting than the famous eponymous Dutch festival.

Very soon Elagin island will turn into the largest flower garden, reaching an area of several thousand square meters, where will grow hundreds of tulips of different forms, varieties and colors. 

The detailed program, as well as the theme of the festival, has not yet been reported. However, it is known that the official opening will take place on May 16th on Elagin Island.

Last year, the total area of the flower garden reached 1700 sq meters.
