The 38th International Exhibition of Textile and Light Industry “Fashion Industry” will kick off at the St. Petersburg Sport and Concert Complex on September 8, 2011 and will last till 11 September 2011. The exhibition will bring together about 300 companies from throughout Russia, CIS and foreign countries to present collections of clothes for the new season. More than 15 000 experts and guests usually attend the event. There will be a special buyer program for buyers. The aim of the exhibition is to create optimum conditions for demonstration of products being released into the market, effective exchange of experience in technology and professional business organization, establishment of new business contacts and signing of contracts, market analysis, and product competitiveness. The festival will feature one of its major event – the XIV Economic Forum Fashion Industry, under which conferences, seminars, master classes for leading professionals of industrial companies and retailers, designers and engineers, representatives of universities and the media are held.. Many other special events will be held such as two seminars on the analysis of major trends in women's and men's clothing, discussion of the prospects of color and textile design of the future season, and analysis of the complete cycle of the formation of collections. There will also be training sessions for retailers The GENERATION NEXT project is another major project of the exhibition, which consists of the contest of creative projects of young specialists of the industry of fashion goods. Over 50 students and graduates of St. Petersburg attend it. The exhibition part of the “Fashion Industry” event is the presentation of Russian and foreign fashion products. Brands from Denmark, Finland, Bulgaria, as well as permanent partner of the exhibition - the leading manufacturer of clothing and items made of flax, the Linum Group will all present their products during the festival. From 8 to 9 September, the exhibition is open only to professional buyers and industry professionals, while from 10 to 11 September – for anyone who wants to be the first to see the spring-summer 2012 collection and buy new fashion items before they hit the stores.
