On July 12th, 2012, the international festival called, “Opera to All” (Russian: Опера - всем) will be in St. Petersburg! On Thursday, the opening of the festival will take place at Cathedral Square (Russian: Соборная площадь) near Peter and Paul Fortress. The performance will be a great opera called, “Life for the Tsar.” The festival organizers have proposed to bring the most elite arts, opera, to the parks of St. Petersburg. The performance of the opera will include the musicians of St.-Petersburg theaters, as well as domestic and international opera stars. Information for the opera "Life for the Tsar": Orchestra of the Hermitage Theater. Conductor - Fabio Mastrangelo. Director - Julia Prokhorova. Soloists: Susanin - Alexander Matveyev (soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre), Antonida - Svetlana Moskalenko (winner of international competitions), Vanya - Helen Knapp (Germany). Admission is free.
