Four thousand people in St. Petersburg will sing on the steps of St. Isaac's Cathedral On May 26th, 2013, the citizens of St. Petersburg may end up in the Guinness Book of World Records. 4,000 people are going to come together to sing on the steps of St. Isaac’s Cathedral as part of celebration of City Day in St. Petersburg. The leader of the Academic Choir of St. Petersburg, Vladislav Chernushenko, will be leading this project. He took this responsibility by himself and also has invited colleagues from abroad. "Half of the choir is composed of professional singers, the other half - St. Petersburg students. The ensemble will perform Russian songs. The performance will last about an hour, the authorities believe that around 50,000-100,000 people will attend. "To our knowledge, there has never been anything like this before in the world - said the vice-governor. He stressed that he will not disclose the place where the large group will be training.
