The Cardigans Concert in St. Petersburg

On December 5th, 2013, the most popular rock band in Sweden, known to many because of the sensual and the strong voice of Nina Persson, will visit St. Petersburg and give their audience an unforgettable show.

The Cardigans are probably the first successful Swedish band since the legendary ABBA. Their career began back in 1992 in a small Swedish town of Jönköping, when bassist Magnus Sveningsson, guitarist Peter Svensson and fragile singer Nina Persson decided to get together. By the way, it is noteworthy that the group has since never changed.

Their first album, which hit the spot of Swedish listeners, The Cardigans, released in 1994, and then a year later, the band released their second album "Life": it was this album in which brought the band to worldwide popularity. In 1998, the band released the album "Gran Turismo", and received the prize " Album of the Year", at the Swedish Grammy Awards. Tracks "Erase and Rewind", "Loosing My Favorite Game" from the album are real hits.

After releasing several albums, the group goes on a long break from which returned to the stage in 2012.
