30 Seconds to Mars

The American rock band "30 Seconds to Mars", headed by its fascinating front-man Jared Leto is touring the world with their album called "Love Lust Faith + Dreams" and will take the stage of the SKK arena in St. Petersburg on March 18th, 2014.

Brothers Jared and Shannon Leto founded the group in 1998 and it began as a family project. Jared concurrently is also a famous Hollywood actor. Their debut album, 30 Seconds to Mars, was released in 2002. To date, the group has four full-length records and a lot of music awards.

Giant Rabbit

On the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress there is a huge sculpture featuring a gigantic wooden rabbit lying on the grass. Florentijn Hofman erected the sculpture for the festival of contemporary art.

The festival "Contemporary Art in Traditional Museums", where modern Russian and foreign artists bring about the most interesting examples of contemporary art, is being held in St. Petersburg from September 14 to October 13.

Photos from Andy Freeberg can be seen in the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg from September 14 to October 13 2013.

The famous photographer from San Francisco, Andy Freeberg, shot a series of amazing photographs in a project called "The Caretakers" (Russian: "Смотрительницы"). His work includes employees of Russian museums, which are captured next to the background art.

The project includes 39 shots in the four largest museums in Russia: the Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Hermitage Museum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

The administration of St. Petersburg is considering an interesting project of a new pedestrian bridge and shopping center. The new bridge will have two floors and on the second floor will have a variety of restaurants and shops.

It is assumed that the pedestrian bridge may appear near Yakhtennaya street, and will support pedestrian traffic between Krestovsky Island and the Primorskaya Region. Unusual length of the bridge will be 420 meters, and the construction cost will be about 1.5 billion rubles.

3D Show

On the evening of September 5th, the facade of the building of the General Staff will turn into a big screen. There will be shown a project of the famous photographers of the G-20 group.

The theme of the project is called "Russia now." Each work will be presented on this day, and will include the best projects about Russia from around the world. The members of this project went around Russia for two weeks to try to capture the modern day spirit of Russia and everything that is Russian. All the works are made in different techniques and styles. This exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to take a fresh look at different cities and landscapes around Russia.
