On the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress there is a huge sculpture featuring a gigantic wooden rabbit lying on the grass. Florentijn Hofman erected the sculpture for the festival of contemporary art.

The festival "Contemporary Art in Traditional Museums", where modern Russian and foreign artists bring about the most interesting examples of contemporary art, is being held in St. Petersburg from September 14 to October 13.

The First Lego Museum in St. Petersburg has recently opened on Millionnaya Street! The museum has thousands of colorful details by Saint-Petersburg designers, who collected LEGO for a long time. The centerpiece of the exhibition is present-day St. Petersburg with railroads, train stations, shops and big houses. There can also be found the "Death Star" from "Star Wars" a model of a «Ferrari», all kinds of pirate ships, submarines, dinosaurs and hundreds of other equally attractive exhibits.

The famous Russian group "Splin" (Russian: Сплин) will be performing a free concert on Palace Square on the 21st of September 2013. Alexander Vasiliev founded the rock band in 1994 and the band has become popular in Russia and Eastern Europe. The time of the concert has not been specified yet, but at 8:00 pm the stage will feature many famous and familiar songs of the band, which have won the hearts of millions of fans around the world.

The legendary band Scorpions will visit St. Petersburg for the final time. The farewell concert will be the most colorful and memorable show of this year. The group will bring with them their latest album "Comeblack", and the rockers will be accompanied by a Symphony Orchestra.

Live concerts on the Neva River and an exciting boat trip await you! On the lower deck is a stage with musical groups performing from St. Petersburg. The program of this evening is “World Hits”. During the boat ride, you will be able to see the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress,St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Bronze Horseman, the Admiralty, the Aurora ship, Smolny Cathedral and the Summer Garden.

The famous photographer from San Francisco, Andy Freeberg, shot a series of amazing photographs in a project called "The Caretakers" (Russian: "Смотрительницы"). His work includes employees of Russian museums, which are captured next to the background art.

The project includes 39 shots in the four largest museums in Russia: the Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Hermitage Museum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. 

The administration of St. Petersburg is considering an interesting project of a new pedestrian bridge and shopping center. The new bridge will have two floors and on the second floor will have a variety of restaurants and shops.

It is assumed that the pedestrian bridge may appear near Yakhtennaya street, and will support pedestrian traffic between Krestovsky Island and the Primorskaya Region. Unusual length of the bridge will be 420 meters, and the construction cost will be about 1.5 billion rubles.

On the evening of September 5th, the facade of the building of the General Staff will turn into a big screen. There will be shown a project of the famous photographers of the G-20 group.

The theme of the project is called "Russia now." Each work will be presented on this day, and will include the best projects about Russia from around the world. The members of this project went around Russia for two weeks to try to capture the modern day spirit of Russia and everything that is Russian. All the works are made in different techniques and styles. This exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to take a fresh look at different cities and landscapes around Russia.

On September 14^th, 2013, symphonic music will fill Central Park on Elagin Island (ЦПКиО). In the shade of the trees, and right on the water surface of the pond, will be a stage in which the chamber choir and symphony orchestras will perform the best works of world music.
