For the 6th time, the festival devoted to the tea traditions and customs of different countries and for celebration of the New Year will be held at the St. Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex by the union “Kipuchaya Zhizny” (boiling life) on December 15-18.  One of the main aims of the festival is to revive the tradition of tea drinking with pleasure, with gusto, and with family and friends, to present quality products to visitors for the New Year's table, to offer various options for the reparation and celebration of the New Year, and to provide the opportunity to easily choose gifts for yourself, you family and loved ones. 

International week has kicked off in the ST-PETERSBURG METRO. It has started today November 7 and will last till November 20. During this week all stops on Line 3 (the Green Line) will be announced in the English language. This special promotion is aimed to raise the status of St-Petersburg as the Northern capital of tourism and express a warm welcome and hospitality to our international guests.

The best animated films from around the world will be presented in St. Petersburg from 4 to 6 November. The Multivision festival will be held at the “Rodina” cinema center. There will be more than 250 pictures, which are mostly winners of prestigious international awards. All kinds of modern animation techniques, computer 3D-animation painted with hand, puppet and flash animation, a lot of different genres: fairy tales, comedy, philosophical parable, adventure.

There is great news for music lovers of St. Petersburg! Elton John and his musical team will again be entertaining his fans in St. Petersburg on 7 November at the Ice Palace.

After sold-out performances in Australia and South Africa and a long tour of North America and Mexico, the world famous German band RAMMSTEIN instead of going for a well-deserved rest for a few months, they immediately announced a new European tour with a retrospective of the most famous songs.

Lensovet Concert Hall welcomes Finnish symphonic metal group Apocalyptica 30th September 2011

These classically trained cellists began their career by covering Metallica tracks. The band’s fame grew rapidly due to their unusual arrangement of familiar songs modified through the string instruments. This, coupled with great showmanship, appealed to thousands of fans around the world. Their unique style and virtuosity brought on collaborations with such successful acts as Rammstein, Slipknot and HIM, as well as their heroes Metallica.

The 38th International Exhibition of Textile and Light Industry “Fashion Industry” will kick off at the St. Petersburg Sport and Concert Complex on  September 8, 2011 and will last till 11 September 2011. 

The exhibition will bring together about 300 companies from throughout Russia, CIS and foreign countries to present collections of clothes for the new season. More than 15 000 experts and guests usually attend the event. There will be a special buyer program for buyers.
