In the spring and summer seasons in St. Petersburg, the weather is great, the people are happy, and we all tend to become a bit more romantic, aren't we? But, in addition to traditional parks and cozy cafes, there are a lot of nice places to go (even in the winter) to enjoy a beautiful and romantic time with your loved one. Here is a list of the best places to go with your someone special: 1. Kissing Bridge | Поцелуев Мост The name speaks for itself. It is true that the origin of the name has nothing to do with kissing, but it doesn’t matter. The name of the bridge got its name a long time ago, as many young people would take their loved ones to the bridge, secretly from others. Location: Bridge over the Moika canal, located at the site of St. Glinka ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Yards of Capella | Дворы Капеллы The Court Chapel of St. Petersburg started long before the founding of the city itself. It started from the time of Ivan the Terrible. Now when you go through the cozy courtyards of the Capella, you can pass right through the heart of the city to the Palace. You can hear wonderful acoustics in the yards and the feeling of love is always in the air. Location: Bolshaya Konyushennaya, 11 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Behind this name hides a romantic sort of an ordinary St. Petersburg yard-well ... at first glance. Yard Angel is an unusual pentagonal shape. If you look up, the form of the outlines of houses resemble wings of an angel, hence its name. Going through the original low arch can access the entrance of the yard. Location: Nevsky Prospect, 3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Yard Squat "Furyk" | Двор сквота "Фурики" The house number is the first one on the street (Gagarinskaya str.) but it is located in the yard. Here is a black pyramid in which was founded in 1998 by artist Juris Forester, a member of the creative association called the "Rivermen Club" ("Клуб Речников"). This place is a place of pilgrimage for lovers and leads them to signs and legends. According to recent reports, the court is now closed, but maybe you can be lucky to get in. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This wonderful pedestrian street is here on this list, because here lives a couple of cat statues in St. Petersburg called Elisha and Vasilisa. Traditionally, from under the feet of Elisha, throw a coin to make your wish come true. And with Vasilisa, whisper wishes to your loved ones and they will come true. :) Location: Malaya Sadovaya 3 Related Articles: St-Petersburg Guide's Popular: |
