Come out to see a great festive program to celebrate New Year’s at 2 a.m. on January 1st at Palace Square. The program will last for five hours and 6,000 fireworks will be shot off to commemorate the beginning of the New Year. A light show will also be taking place at the Old Stock Exchange Building nearby as well as dance groups performing on the square. The program promises to be a memorable one, as cannon volleys will also be shot from the beach fortress, the Trinity Bridge, and the Palace Embankment.

Christmas Mystery Golden Key

New Year’s Eve in St. Petersburg is expecting a lot of celebrations. From 9:00 pm, part of Nevsky Prospekt (from Fontaka river to Palace Square) will become pedestrian. At 10:00 pm there will begin celebrations at Malaya Sadovaya,  Gostiny Dvor, and Malaya Konyushennaya. At 11 pm, a feast will begin on Palace Square, where a big bridge that will connect the old and New Year will usher the New Year in. Vendors on the streets will be selling hot drinks and pastries.
