Never walk alone at night because you can be killed. When flying into St Petersburg, you’ll land at Pulkovo airport (LED), a small airport on the outskirts of town. Make sure after you land you have your passport and visa ready, as these will be checked by immigration agents before the baggage collection area. Once outside, there are dozens of taxis. However, these taxis charge a lot more than normal, and the drivers will try to take advantage of you if you don’t speak Russian. (The same is the case throughout the city). Rather than hailing a taxi on the street, book online with the taxi service on sntpeters.com and you’ll typically save at least half of the fare. Our website monitors all of the city’s taxi fares and will find you the best price to get from Pulkovo airport to anywhere (and we mean, anywhere!). Just let us know the time and date of your arrival by filling out our online form, and we will find and book the best taxi for you—guaranteed. |
